Siliguri Indoor Stadium |
Siliguri Municipal Indoor Stadium is only indoor stadium located in the Southern part of the city (Desh Bandhu Para), where indoor games like lawn tennis, badminton and table tennis as well as other indoor sports are played. The Stadium has a capacity of 5000 people. Recently Senior National Table Tennis Championship was held here. Many Cultural programs are also organize here. |

Table Tennis, Cricket, and Football are some of the popular sports of Siliguri. These games are played by the most of the people. The only outdoor stadium is Kanachenjunga Stadium where Ranji Trophy and other football matches are conducted. Indoor stadium is located in the Southern part of the city (Desh Bandhu Para), where indoor games like lawn tennis, badminton and table tennis as well as other indoor sports are played. Recently some champions have come up from our city like Mantu Ghosh, the Gold Medal winner in the 1996 and 1999 SAF Games, Nandita Saha (Juniors, 2000), Wriddhiman Saha played his debut match for Bengal. He has also been selected for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. |

Kanchanjangha Stadium |
Kanchanjangha Stadium is only outdoor stadium located on Bidhan Road. Ranji Trophy and other football matches are mostly played here. The Stadium has a capacity of 40,000 people. The only sports museum of Eastern India is located next to the stadium. A number of fair are held on the Kanchanjangha Stadium Fair Ground. Among the fairs the “Baishakhi Mela”, “Book fair” are mostly known to the people. |
