Basically there are five seasons in Siliguri summer, monsoon, autumn, winter and spring. The maximum summer temperature rarely exceed  40°C and  winter is cooler than other southern area of  West Bengal. In winter temperature ranges from 3°C to 15°C. Light rain and dense fog are seen during this season. The rainy season falls between June and September.
